Cell phones... Nuff said

Yesterday was 11/11/11, which was like a version of Friday the 13th times 5 for me... My cell phone decided that rather than just working, it was tired and ready to meet its maker... So Maybe Steve Jobs spirit was ready to downgrade back to the iphone 3.  I don't know what happened, all I know is one minute it worked, the next it didnt.  When taken to the cell repair shop, which I didn't know they had, and left all day, it still wouldn't work, and was one of the hopeless cases that does happen... Sniff. So yesterday, like all day, I was almost unreachable, when in my car and not at work, and I have to say it was actually invigorating.  I can't say that I liked it exactly, but it did make me realize how dependent we as a society, and I personally, have become on cell phones.  I love my iphone, I cannot relate how much, and am looking forward to getting the new iPhone 4s, because I too want to be able to just say what I need to ask, rather than type or search myself.  However, I currently am using the cheapest phone possible, I think, and am  really noticing how spoiled I am or was.  I have a new appreciation for NOT having my phone, and believe that in the future, I will simply put it away.  As my mother says, the telephone is for my convenience, not everyone elses...
